Meet O.J., a sweet 11 year old kitty who came to us for evaluation of his Feline Chronic Gingivostomatitis. His treatment consisted of extracting all of his premolar and molar teeth, which in most cases allows the mouth to heal. After his initial treatment, O.J. began laser therapy twice a week with a therapeutic Class 4 laser. This treatment decreases inflammation and increases blood supply to the damaged tissue thereby speeding up the healing process. All our patients that undergo laser therapy wear special goggles called “doggles” that have special lenses that protect their eyes. We’re very happy with how O.J. has responded to his laser therapy.
